We are currently seeking Customer Care Agents who are customer-focused and impassioned. These agents will serve as the initial point of contact for injured workers, employers, the medical community, and advocates who are contacting WorkSafeBC.

The Customer Care Agent is essential in the support of our customer service initiatives, as they possess a comprehensive understanding of all compensation services functions. In this position, you will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

managing incoming phone claim inquiries, providing clients with pertinent information to address their inquiries and concerns, ensuring that any missing or conflicting information is collected through a review of the information on file or by gathering information that may necessitate outbound phone calls, matching information to validate claims, reviewing claims to determine the appropriate injury code, and performing any other related tasks as assigned.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage incoming phone claim inquiries and respond to calls from a variety of stakeholders regarding worker claims and services.
  • Collect essential information for the claims file, which may necessitate making outbound phone calls to physicians, employers, and workers.
  • Ensure that WorkSafeBC has the necessary information to make timely decisions by analyzing information and understanding the claims process.
  • Examine the claim file for conflicting information and ensure that it is reviewed, analyzed, and matched to the appropriate party and/or claim file in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a professional and sensitive demeanor when communicating with clients and other stakeholders
  • Obtain the necessary information from clients, resolve any inquiries or concerns that may have been raised, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Educate clients and other stakeholders on claims processes and requirements, gather information through inquiry, and actively listen to identify problems or barriers to obtaining the necessary information.

Your educational and professional heritage A diploma or degree in

  • The capacity to promptly and precisely compose
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in customer service that is relevant
