Key Responsibilities:

As a Switchboard Cashier Admitting Clerk, you will:

  • Operate the switchboard and public address/paging systems.
  • Register patients and confirm hospital appointments with physicians, nursing units, and patients.
  • Receive payments for patient bills and sundry accounts, balance daily cash, prepare bank deposits, and maintain petty cash accounts.
  • Perform clerical duties, including typing, compiling and distributing documents/lists/schedules, and data entry for pre-admissions, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Welcome and direct patients and visitors to appropriate areas.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of Grade 12.
  • Typing Proficiency: A current Typing Test of 45 wpm or greater, completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: One year of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
