Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and decontaminate areas, buildings, equipment, and materials exposed to radioactive contamination.
- Provide decontamination services for operational and decommissioning activities at Whiteshell Laboratories.
- Implement contamination control techniques to maintain safe working conditions.
- Assist employees with entry/exit protocols in radiological areas, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment & Clothing (PPE&C).
- Package and handle hazardous waste materials according to radiation protection procedures.
- Conduct routine cleaning of CA2 facilities and gather active waste throughout designated areas.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent (required).
Experience:
- Preferred: 2+ years working in a radioactive environment, with knowledge of radiological and industrial safety practices.
- Additional Assets: Experience in decontamination work or janitorial services.
Skills:
- Punctual, dependable, and safety-oriented.
- Adaptable to changing work environments.
- Capable of lifting and moving materials in a decommissioning/construction setting.
- Strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
- Excellent teamwork and organizational skills.

Security Clearance:
- A reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC) is required.
- Eligibility: Minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., or the U.K.

Working Conditions:
- Compressed Work Week: Four days per week, 10-hour shifts (starting at 6 AM).
