As a member of the Environmental Services team within the Family Birthing Centre, the Unit Service Aide is responsible for upholding a secure, clean, hygienic, and orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff, in strict adherence to established policies and procedures.

The Unit Service Aide is responsible for upholding the sanitation of the unit by sanitizing and refreshing patient chambers, including areas designated for infant care, as well as instruments and other medical equipment subsequent to delivery, transfer, or discharge. The Unit Service Aide is also responsible for conducting inventory assessments and replenishing medical supplies and linens in designated areas.
